The application is based on the theory that female mosquitoes, after laying eggs, actively avoid further contact with males. This behavior is facilitated by their ability to recognize the wing vibrations of males, which are described as distinct from those of females. As soon as a female detects these vibrations, she moves away from the source.

However, with approximately 3,500 species of mosquitoes worldwide, not all males produce sound at the same frequency. To address this variability, the application offers the capability to adjust the frequency settings, allowing users to find the appropriate frequency for their specific context.

The usage of the application is notably straightforward. Users simply select their desired frequency and activate the simulation of male wing sounds by pressing the "Stop Them!" button. To cease the sound, users press the same button again, which then changes to read "Turn Off, They’ve Escaped!"
